1. Protection of Personal Data

Personal data refers to any information that allows for the identification of a person. This includes, among other things, name, address, date of birth, and IP address. We (InterMedTec) take the protection and security of your personal data very seriously. Therefore, the processing of your personal data takes place exclusively upon your explicit consent or if another legal basis (within the meaning of the GDPR) exists. Only such personal data is collected that is necessary for the execution and performance of our tasks and services, or that you have voluntarily provided to us. If you contact us via the contact form, the personal data provided by you (e.g., name, email address, and the content of your message) will be processed exclusively to handle your request. Processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in processing your request). The data will only be stored for as long as necessary to process your request and to fulfill statutory retention obligations. 3. Your Right to Information and Erasure (Data Subject Rights) You have the right to access your stored personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of the data processing, as well as a right to rectification, objection, data portability, restriction of processing, and blocking or erasure of incorrect/unlawfully processed data. You also have the right to revoke any consent granted for the use of your personal data at any time. If you believe that the processing of your personal data by us violates applicable data protection law or that your legal data protection claims have been infringed upon in any other way, you may lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde). [1] Provided that data portability does not cause disproportionate effort.

4. Data Usage – Security The data provided to us will only be processed for clearly defined purposes or for purposes covered by your consent. Data collection takes place within the framework of provisions aimed at supporting contract initiation or fulfilling an existing contract, in compliance with the GDPR. Excluded from this is the use for statistical purposes, provided the data made available has been anonymized. If we intend to further process your data for a different purpose, we will provide you with information about this other purpose and all relevant details pursuant to Art. 13 (2) GDPR prior to such further processing. We have implemented state-of-the-art organizational and technical measures to ensure the protection of your personal data (protection against misuse from both internal and external sources, such as firewalls, encryption, access permissions, etc.). However, it cannot be ruled out that errors during data transmission not caused by us or unauthorized access by third parties (hackers, etc.) may lead to information being viewed or used by other persons. We assume no liability for this, provided that such misuse was not culpably caused by us. When sending particularly sensitive data and information, it is recommended to use postal services, as security cannot be guaranteed via email.

5. Disclosure of Data to Third Parties (Transfer) In principle, we do not make your personal data available to third parties. However, it may be necessary to forward your data to trusted third parties to fulfill your order or for legal reasons. These may include courts, authorities, or other involved third parties (including data processors acting on our behalf). In such cases, your data will only be disclosed in accordance with the GDPR (based on your consent, for the purpose of contract fulfillment, or to meet a legal obligation, etc.).

6. Storage/Deletion of Data We do not retain your personal data longer than necessary for the purposes for which it is processed. Data is also retained for evidentiary purposes, taking into account statutory limitation periods or for as long as claims against us remain possible.

7. Video Surveillance & Web Hosting Details We also process your data for self-protection (protection of property, employee protection, and compliance with duties of care), as well as to prevent and clarify criminal conduct in the form of encrypted video surveillance. Evaluation of the data takes place exclusively for these purposes. Data is stored for up to 72 hours; longer storage only occurs on a case-by-case basis for the duration of legal proceedings. Your data will not be shared with recipients pursuing their own purposes with it, but only with competent authorities and courts (for evidence preservation or enforcement of claims), insurance companies (for handling insurance cases), and lawyers or other entities for legal enforcement. Data transfer to recipients in a third country or an international organization is not envisioned. Irrespective of your data subject rights (see Point 3), please note that no right to data portability applies here. When visiting our website, server log files are processed for technical reasons. These serve to ensure the secure operation of the website and are based on our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
