Following his legal studies in Vienna and Fribourg (Switzerland), Markus Sluga has been working in international structured export finance for nearly 25 years. He spent the first part of his career on the banking side with Bayerische Hypo- und Vereinsbank AG (Munich), UniCredit Bank Austria AG (Vienna), and Raiffeisen Bank International AG (Vienna). Most recently, he served in a senior executive role on the corporate side with an EPC contractor specializing in international healthcare infrastructure.

Markus’s career highlights include structuring large-scale financings across TMT (Technology, Media, and Telecommunications), transport infrastructure, and healthcare infrastructure, with a strong focus on emerging markets. He speaks fluent German, English, and French, and is a regular speaker at international trade and export finance conferences.
